Family

Both sides of my family are from southwestern Virginia, specifically Wise County. This is a mountainous region, with a storied history of coal, floods, and hard lives.

I was born in 1964 in Wise County. In 1967, my parents moved us to Raleigh, North Carolina. 

 

A few years back, I developed a web application that displays a graphical chart of my family tree. I hope to revive and make the application accessible here.
